Fish Island North: Past, Present & Future

Following the planning success of our Wickside scheme earlier this summer we have organised a walking tour of the broader Fish Island area and an accompanying ‘Fish Island Futures’ exhibition as part of Open House London 2018. With 1 in 6 jobs in London being in Creative & Cultural Industries, our tour aims to address the concern that London is losing capacity as a place to make and manufacture. Touching on the past & taking in the heritage assets that make up Fish Island, we will explore how local character & industry, together with London’s wider creative industries have informed the role of current & future developments. The tours will be led by Partner Freddie Heaf & Associate Catriona O’Meara along with representatives from Hawkins\Brown, Haworth Tompkins, Pitman Tozer, PH+ & HWO Architects and will take place at 12:00 and 14:00 on both Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd September.

The ‘Fish Island Futures’ exhibition, located in the McGrath Offices on Wansbeck Road, is free to visit and will be open from 10:00-17:00 over the Open House London 2018 weekend. The exhibition includes over 20 models from Ash Sakula, BUJ Architects, Hawkins\Brown, Haworth Tompkins, Pitman Tozer, PH+ & HWO Architects.
